Welcome to my portfolio site!
I am a software engineer with 16 years of experience in Telecom and Healthcare industries. Experienced in several technologies and programming languages. I moved to the healthcare industry 8 years back and I am very glad I made the move. I worked on several projects in the past 8 years. Worked on the implementation of NQCA HEDIS measures for Medicaid patients, GE Centricity business revenue cycle software (former IDX flowcast), integration of MQIC (Medical Quality Improvement Consortium currently built on nightly extracts from Centricity practice solution and Centricity EMR customers) with GE e-health (HIE) product, quality reports based on NCQA DPRP measures and DoQIT measures, clinical quality measures for Meaningful use stage 1, PQRS (Physician Quality Reporting System) for Medicare part B patients and Meaningful use stage 2.
Worked on a clinical trials pilot prgram with a pharma company based on the data collected in the MQIC data-warehouse. Identified patient population eligible for the study. Identified principal investigators based on the patients identified in a specific geographic location and the physician’s interest to participate. Patients enrolled in the study were tracked from the warehouse.
I believe there is a lot of potential to improve healthcare quality using data analytics. MMI program has helped me build the confidence and provided me the necessary skills to take a step in the right direction.
Outside of my work in the healthcare industry, I lead the igniting minds program in our area. Igniting minds is a GE initiative and volunteer-based program aimed at strengthening a middle school student’s abilities in the areas of math and science, through a series of hands-on classroom games, activities and exercises. This program has given me the opportunity to meet and network with employees from various GE businesses like GE Energy, GE Capital, GE Transportation etc. in the Dallas area.
